Read the full Official Rules
These are the official rules for the ACISA Ramayana ticket draw. By entering, you agree to them.
1. Organizer
The Ramayana ticket draw (the "Draw") is run by the Arts & Culture Initiative of South Asia ("ACISA", "we", "us") on behalf of its festivals: Vibrant Brampton Summerfest, Visual Arts of South Asia ("VASA") and ROOT'D.
2. Eligibility
The Draw is open to residents of Ontario who are 18 or older at the time of entry.
Not eligible: employees, directors, board members, volunteers and contractors of ACISA, Vibrant Brampton Summerfest, VASA and ROOT'D, the film's distributor and promoters, and the immediate family and household members of the above.
One entry per person. One prize per person.
The Draw is void where prohibited by law.
3. Draw period
The Draw opens on October 29, 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and closes on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (the "Draw Period"). Entries received outside the Draw Period are not eligible. Our records and clock decide the time of an entry.
4. How to enter
No purchase is necessary. To enter during the Draw Period:
Complete the entry form with your full name, age, city of residence and a working email address.
Confirm that you meet the eligibility rules and agree to these rules.
Tick the consent box described in section 8.
Submit the form.
Incomplete, duplicate, late, illegible or automated entries are void. An entry is treated as made by the person who owns the email address used. Following ACISA or any festival on social media is welcome but is not required and does not improve your chances.
5. Prize
There are 15 prizes. Each prize is one pair (two) of admission tickets to Ramayana: Rise of a Legend at participating Cineplex theatre(s), valid only while the movie is screening in that specific theatre.
A prize has no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
Lost, stolen, expired or damaged tickets will not be replaced.
The prize is subject to the theatre's own terms, showtimes, seat availability and age rating.
Travel, parking, food and any other costs are the winner's responsibility.
The film's release date, showtimes and theatre availability are set by Cineplex theatres. ACISA, Vibrant Brampton Summerfest, VASA and ROOT'D and their directors, board members, volunteers and contractors, and the film's distributor and promoters are not responsible for these changes.
6. How winners are chosen and the odds
On or before Thursday, November 5, 2026 at noon ET, ACISA will draw the winners at random from all eligible entries received during the Draw Period. Your chance of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received. If a selected entrant is disqualified or cannot be reached, we will draw an alternate the same way.
7. Notification and claiming
We will email each selected entrant, at the address on the entry form, by 5:00 PM ET on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
To receive the prize, a selected entrant must reply by 5:00 PM ET on Saturday, November 7, 2026, and must correctly answer, without help, a mathematical skill-testing question we send with the notice.
Winners may be asked to sign a declaration confirming they meet these rules and releasing ACISA from liability connected with the prize.
If a selected entrant does not meet these requirements, or the notice cannot be delivered, the prize is forfeited and an alternate is drawn.
Tickets will be delivered by [ticket delivery — digital delivery or collection arrangements, to be confirmed].
8. Consent to be contacted
By entering the Draw and ticking the consent box on the entry form, you agree that ACISA and its festivals, Vibrant Brampton Summerfest, VASA and ROOT'D, may contact you by email about the Draw and may send you news, event announcements, ticket offers and updates about ACISA and those festivals.
Each message will identify ACISA and the festival sending it, give our contact details, and include a working unsubscribe link.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing info@acisa.ca. Withdrawing does not cancel an entry already made, but we will stop sending you promotional messages.
Messages about the Draw itself, such as winner notices, are not promotional and may still be sent.
9. Privacy
What we collect: your name, age, city of residence, email address and the date and time of your entry.
How we use it: to run the Draw, check eligibility (including age and Ontario residency), contact winners and, with your consent in section 8, send you information about ACISA and its festivals and their past and upcoming events.
Who sees it: ACISA and its festivals, and service providers that host the form or send email for us, who may store data outside Canada. We do not sell your information. We may disclose it where the law requires, and we may give a winner's name to the film's distributor only if needed to release tickets.
How long we keep it: entry information is deleted within 90 days after the Draw ends, except that your email stays on our mailing list until you unsubscribe.
Your choices: you may ask to see or correct your information, or withdraw consent, by contacting [privacy contact name and email].
We handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian privacy law.
10. Conduct and disqualification
ACISA may disqualify any entrant who gives false information, enters more than once under different names or email addresses, uses automated means to enter, tampers with the entry process, or otherwise breaks these rules. ACISA's decisions on all matters relating to the Draw are final.
11. Publicity
Winners agree that ACISA and its festivals may publish their first name and last initial in announcements about the Draw on their websites and social channels. Any use of a winner's photo or video requires separate permission.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ACISA, Vibrant Brampton Summerfest, VASA, ROOT'D, the film's distributor and promoters, the participating theatres, and their directors, employees, volunteers and agents are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, technical or network failures, errors in the Draw materials, or any loss, damage or injury connected with the Draw, the prize or the screening. Winners use the prize at their own risk.
13. Changes and cancellation
If fraud, a technical failure, or any cause beyond our control affects the fairness or running of the Draw, ACISA may change, suspend or cancel it, and will post a notice on this page. If the Draw is cancelled, any prizes not yet awarded will be drawn, where possible, from eligible entries received before the problem arose.
14. General
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, and its names, artwork and logos, belong to their respective owners.
These rules are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be decided by the courts of Ontario. If any part of these rules is found to be invalid, the rest remains in effect.
