Now in its sixth year, The Classical – World Music & Dance Festival returned with a renewed commitment to celebrating the global traditions that shape Mississauga’s cultural identity. Audiences will experience the soulful Hindustani vocal artistry of Vinayak Hegde, accompanied by the masterful Rayaji Bhide on harmonium and Parag Dhadphale on tabla, the improvisational brilliance of An’ Trio from the Persian classical tradition; the innovative and expressive Odin Quartet, one of Canada’s leading chamber ensembles; the lyrical grace of Manipuri dance by Paromita Roy; and a spellbinding Santoor–Bansuri jugalbandi featuring Shreyas Ambikar of the revered Shivkumar Sharma lineage performing alongside Vasu Bisht, with tabla by Parag Dhadphale. Together, they create an evening that reflects the diversity, depth, and soul of our community.

The festival continues to champion Canada based performers by offering paid opportunities, professional staging, and high-quality production support.

THis year we also added a new interactive segment called Fireside Chat adding a rare layer of insight to the experience… inviting audiences to hear directly from the artists about their craft, influences, and creative “why”.

We also remain committed to supporting the local economy by hiring Mississauga-based technicians, creatives, and vendors, ensuring the festival’s cultural and economic impact stays within the community.
